Program Manager

The Program Officer will have a vital role in the leading the implementation and execution of various programs through strategic engagement with women, youth, private, and public sector.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary academic qualification or higher.

  • Fluency in Filipino and English (both oral and written) is required.

  • Must have a good understanding of and practical exposure to the institutional framework governing plastics recycling and the circular economy framework in middle to low-income countries and other developing nations.

  • Must have more than 5 years professional / non-profit / government work experience in the field of social behavioral change, marketing, communications, PR, sustainability, business / livelihood development, or other relevant fields.

  • Must have knowledge, skills and experience in, including but not limited to social and behavior change formative research and strategy development, international standards for developing or pretesting existing IEC materials, social media management, as well as local community engagement and behavior change programs.

  • Skills in graphic design and other media such as art, photo and video are valuable assets.

Competencies:

 

  • Good knowledge of program management, implementation and development.

  • Good knowledge and experience regarding gender mainstreaming.

  • Good moderation, facilitation and training skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with government and social partners.

  • Ability to perform a variety of conceptual analyses required for the formulation, administration and evaluation of projects.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills.

  • Good computer applications skills.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy.

  • Ability to build on relevant knowledge within and outside the project as well as actively share her/his experience and expertise with colleagues and partners.

  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.

  • Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work in diversified environments.
