  • Lead program management guided by the approved overall program plan, and manage monthly coastal clean-ups, while ensuring the timely output of committed deliverables within the agreed budget.

  • Knowledge, skills, and experience in social and behavior change formative research, international standards for developing or pretesting existing materials, and local community engagement programs. 

  • Experience with marine litter management and monitoring.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Full-time/On-Call Truck Driver to transport recyclable materials using a container van. The driver will be responsible for assisting the women champions in the collection, segregation of recyclable materials as well as ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials to designated recycling facilities or locations. This position requires flexibility with scheduling as shifts may vary based on demand.

​

Responsibilities:​

​

  • Transportation of Recyclable Materials: Safely operate a container van to haul various types of recyclable materials and ensure all materials are securely loaded and unloaded according to safety protocols.

  • Adherence to Transport Regulations: Follow all traffic laws and regulations to maintain safety and legality. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle maintenance and operation.

  • Support and Assist in Collecting, Sorting, Cleaning, and Drying Recyclables: Assists the Eco-Ikot Women Champions in collecting and sorting the recyclable materials, ensuring adherence to the safety protocols and guidelines. Support in cleaning, organizing, and proper inventory of the storage facilities in EIC Pilot area, EIC-1, and EIC-2.

  • Route Planning and Navigation: Plan efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading of recyclable materials as needed. Ensure materials are properly secured and balanced within the container van.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete required paperwork such as delivery logs, inspection reports, and mileage records. Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to management promptly.

  • Customer Service: Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers or facility personnel.

 

Qualifications:

​

  • Valid Professional Driver's License with a clean driving record.

  • Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with experience in hauling recyclable materials.

  • Ability to operate and maintain a container van safely and efficiently.

  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
